On May 29-31, the 9th ILDEX Vietnam International Livestock, Dairy, Meat Processing and Aquaculture Exhibition was held at Saigon Convention and Exhibition Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Vietnam - Industry Status
In recent years, bilateral trade between China and Vietnam has been developing rapidly, with China being Vietnam's largest trading partner for many years in a row, and Vietnam being China's largest trading partner in ASEAN and the world's fourth largest trading partner country. Meanwhile, in recent years, Chinese enterprises have significantly increased their investment in Vietnam, with the proportion of foreign investment in Vietnam rising year by year, and the investment cooperation between China and Vietnam has been effective.
Vietnam's livestock industry is a market with great potential. Data shows that Vietnam produces 3.1 million tons of pork; 51.11 million heads of livestock; 87.24 million laying hens, with 440,000 tons of eggs in shell; 560 million broilers, with 1.07 million tons of chicken meat.
It is expected that in the next five years, Vietnam's demand for feed ingredients is expected to increase to 28 million to 30 million tons per year, costing $12 billion to $13 billion; feed production will grow by 13% to 15% per year, which will make Vietnam the largest feed producer in Southeast Asia. In addition, although Vietnam's domestic supply of livestock products is relatively abundant, the country's imports of livestock products still amount to more than US$3 billion, with fresh pork being the largest, followed by other meat and poultry by-products.
